Additionally, Okarito Boat Eco Tours is a key component of workshops organised and conducted by renowned local photographer Rina Sjardin-Thompson. We have been honoured and thrilled to have collaborated with Andris Apse for all of his New Zealand photography workshops throughout his exceptional career.

The incredible landscape is alive with an ever-changing array of wading and forest birds. From the remarkably photogenic Kotuku (Great White Heron) and Royal Spoonbills to the more elusive Fernbirds and other forest birds.
